instead I stayed a la maison, and I found some good tools for
mincing pleasure into a tight little powder, and a tightly rolled
bill (nothing less than a Benjamin) which I used to introduce my
surgically pert
nostrils to my new for-sale-but-never-on-sale self.
Now, high on what used to be life, I mask my new indulgence in a
rich paste of exotic nutmeats and golden mayonnaise (quite soothing for
under-eye and upper-thigh bruising) and, slender as can be, I align
myself politically a few micrometers left of center, for
fashion's sake, knowing full well that my intentions cause tumors
in laboratory animals
